The residency program is located in the town of Phillipsburg on the eastern shore of the Delaware River in rural Warren County.
As a physician, you will care for a mix of suburban, urban and rural patients. This diversity provides a wonderful opportunity for learning and growing.
Living in the Warren County area also has unique advantages. It is centrally located between the hiking trails of the Pocono Mountains (40 miles away) and the clubs and museums of New York City (72 miles away) and the famous New Jersey shore (100 miles away). Philadelphia’s celebrated cheesesteaks and professional sports teams are only 65 miles away.
Additionally, Phillipsburg and Easton, Pa. (directly across the river) form one economic unit with the nearby cities of Allentown and Bethlehem. Close to 500,000 people live in this area known as the Lehigh Valley which also includes six colleges and universities.
The area has an abundance of cultural and recreational options including state parks with boating, skiing and camping facilities, a national week-long music festival, public and private golf courses and a historic theater that offers a year-round schedule of nationally known performers and production.
